(Iran, Afghanistan, India, Burma, China) Magni Mogolis Imperium, Blaeu, c. 1662 An early engraving with a particular strength for western India, Afghanistan and Pakistan, stretching eastward to the mysteries of eastern Asia, such as the mythical "Chiamay" Lake , the source to all the great rivers of southern Asia. A few vignettes show Asian elephants and a pair of camels not far from "Cabull". A decorative coat of arms in the lower left is dedicated to "D. Iohanni Hvydekoper", the one time head of Dutch East Indies Co, and mayor of Amsterdam. Condition is very good with some outline hand color. Images size is approximately 16.5 x 20.75 (inches)
