A Map of the French Settlements In North America.
A British published map that takes a look at the French presence in the new world. While showing the colonies from "N. Scotland" and New England down to "Georgia", it shows the French "Louisiana" territory reaching across the Mississippi River, as well as those numerous points throughout modern Canada. Interestingly, it also does a very good job on showing native tribal placement, and the major Indian towns throughout the south. A fine engraving.
Condition is good, with some light marginal soiling and discoloration. Image size is 7 x 7.5 (inches).
