(Africa) AFRICA
A fine map the continent toward the beginning of the 18th century some great speculative notations. Immediately prominent are the interior system of connected lake that stretch across the continents interior not only feed the Nile, but rivers along the south African coast. Likewise shows a series of lakes and a river system that crosses the southern Sahara and empties at the coasts of Senegal and Gambia. At the same time, coastal exteriors are well formed and recognizable, and many placenames are identified.
Condition is good with some light foxing, repairs to the centerfold and closer margins. Image size is approximately 14.5 x 17 (inches)
