It's such a vast land with many complex mountain ranges, and how it was explored and understood, is interesting in its own way. Here a massive overview with some of the recent explorations as well as some of the historic and established routes. Some older historic routes like "Simpson And Pease 1837" cover the northern coast while other noted routes may be an old "Russian Route" or "Rumored Indian Route".
