Asia Cum Omnibus Imperiis Provinciis Statibus Et Insulis Iuxta...
A beautiful hand colored engraving for the vast continent that still held numerous mysteries. While detailed with many placenames and apparent detail there are mythical places and distortions of the time such as a great lake that was the source of numerous southeast asian rivers. Shows the large lake of "Chiamay" in the midst of the Himalayas. Includes a large island connecting to Japan (Hokkaido?), adjacent to a "Compagnie Land" not too far away. Spans from Nova Zembla and the Arctic sea, south to New Guinea and the islands of the East Indies.
Condition is very good. Image size is approximately 19.75 x 23 (inches)
