(Asia-Middle East) Rugs of the Orient
As stated in an adjacent text block, "this map is not geographically Correct, but is simply diagrammatic". And yes, it is basic and a touch simplified, but its intent to show rug patters from the Turkey, through the Middle East and Asia, all the way to western China is amazing. Photos illustrated, with some detail the style and color of rug makers in specific areas. For instance in Persia alone, eleven different stylistic approaches are shown.
