(Asia - Tibet/China) Part Of Kam - Eastern Tibet, RGS, 1922 Eric Teichman was an English explorer and agent for the government. He had a focus on China and Central Asia and was very well traveled through the region. Here is his map for the remote frontier between Tibet and China, with many placenames shown in East Tibetan language (a glossary is supplied in the lower left), and indeed the lower captions mentions how the entire map was based on the consistent compass readings as he traveled. While focused on the roads and drainages, it does note something of the land quality such as "Grass country", "Snow Peaks", etc). Condition is good with some overall toning to the paper, repairs to fold separations and some print offsetting. Image size is approximately 21 x 16 (inch)
