Plan Of Spithead Shewing The Proposed Evolutions At the Review Of The Fleet By Her Majesty, on Wednesday 17th July 1867
An event that happened numerous times during Queen Victoria's reign, where she and some invited dignitaries sit on the Royal Yacht just out in the Portsmouth Harbor and watch the naval power float by. In this instance the some of the elite of the Ottoman Empire, amongst others were the guests who watched as "Wooden Vessels", "Iron Vessels", "Gun Boats" and "Yachts" were paraded as a review of nautical muscle. A rare canvas backed folding map in original slip case. Quite a relic of British Naval power.
Condition is very good only one or two small spots of canvas deterioration. Image size is approximately 21 x 28 (inches)
