(British Empire Flag) Coronation Kind
A striking image of a celebratory flag made for the coronation of the short lived King Edward the VIII, at a changing time for the British Empire. It was a changing time for the British Empire which now faced new advancing pressures in their world endeavors from the likes of Germany and Japan who were advancing across the world stage. And this flag, made to celebrate the ascension of the playboy royal, Edward, would be obsolete by the time it was made, as he would abdicate the throne and be created the Duke of Windsor in early 1937. A interesting glimpse of a short lived epoch.
