A Pictorial Map of Palo Alto and the San Francisco Peninsula
A promotional map for what was still a small town not far from San Francisco, with a simple birdseye view showing its location in relation to the Bay Area, and including neighboring towns and Stanford University. Surrounding the map are numerous images of key points in the community which promoted itself as a place of "Matchless climate, good neighbors and honest standards". It would have been hard to imagine at the time how this small town would turn into the seed bed of huge technological development, and hub of the internet age.
