It might be one of the fastest retort's to Saul Steinberg's famous view, and this is looking toward the east from the heart of San Francisco. Things make good sense as you stand at intersection of Taylor and Geary Streets, with hints of the Ferry Building to the side, and the Bay bridge not far. But once you cross the Bay and leave that colored band of land that occupies "Berkeley" and "Oakland", chaos ensues. Some large rocky outcroppings happen amidst Colorado and Texas, though all is flat otherwise. And since Steinberg left off San Francisco on his famous map, McCaffrey returns the favor and notes Washington D.C. and neighboring Atlantic City, but that's it. On the horizon England, France and Spain, as indistinct lumps. Condition is good with some wrinkles to the edges, but color is strong. Overall size is approximately 41 x 29 (inches)
