(CA. - San Francisco) San Francisco - A View Of The World, McConnell - Harvey Hutter, c. 1985
A cartoonish view that continues the tradition, a San Francisco biased world view. Shows the Transamerica building, the painted ladies, Seal Rock, and down toward the South Bay past Candlestick Park. Once you look past the giant spigot that runs from the northern Sierra to take water to Los Angeles, there are some interesting features. The Rockies are shown as "John Denver Rocky Mountain High", along with the "Orange Crush" Denver Broncos. Beyond the tornadoes of the Mid West are the cities of the east With New York shown as a big apple, the Twin Towers still holding a place of prominence. Playful, but with some interesting details for the time. Condition is very good with minor light misfolds, color very strong. Overall image size is approximately 28 x 22 (inches)
