Sausalito Map of the City of Sausalito, Marin County, California
Our first encounter with this stunning map of the city. Done in a pen and ink style that includes several large surrounding vignettes for the old ferry, shelter cove and the yacht harbor, it also has a nice decorative title cartouche that shows the flora and fauna as well as the spectrum of people from the fisherman with his catch, to a well dressed lady with paintbrush and easel. Beside the map is a history of the region from native times up to the completion of the Golden Gate Bridge. A stunning and sophisticated pictorial map.
Condition is very good with a minor marginal tear. Image size is approximately 20.5 x 29(inches)
