A commercial advertising map for the town that was once a vast ranch that was puchased by General Otis, and then in 1919 purchased by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the author of the "Tarzan Stories", renamed the great spread "Tarzana Ranch". The ranch was used extensivley as a location for many major motion pictures, and a post war boom starting in the late 1940's brought prosperity to the town. This map gives a fell for the businesses, goods and services that once made the town.
