  • Jupiter

From a focused study on the best of what was known of the heavens, this work by Smith gives illustrations for particular facets of earth, its neighbors and the workings of the solar system. Here an illustration for the massive planet of Jupiter, as mentioned "1280 times larger than the earth", and includes telescopic views of the planet as well as the orbits of its moon, and an illustration of the associated Greek and Roman gods of "Jupiter and Mars"

Condition is good with some minor marginal soiling. Image size is approximately 10 x 8.25(inches)
