China
It was the beginning of a dark era for China, as Japanese frustration led to their invasion of the mainland and ongoing battles that would culminate in the ongoing Sino-Japanese war, dragging on from 1937 - '45. This Japanese map of the land shows arrows pointing toward locations, one in the north (near Qinhuangdao), in Manchuria (near Lianyungang), and one in the far south (what is roughly near Hai Phong, Vietnam). Map itself details the major rail and roads, and towns.
