Due west of Shanghai, where the Han River meet the Yangtze River is the modern city of Wuhan, the major port of Hubei province. This early map follows the water route to the resources of wheat, tobacco, cotton and more that flanks the Yangtze Rive up to Tiger Tooth Gorge. Notes towns and roads, as well as a railroad from Wuhan that reaches southward along the Yangtze. A rare pictorial map for a very un-industrialized interior of central China.
