Agricultural Colorado, Colorado Dept of Agriculture, c. 1955
About twenty years after the catastrophe of the Dust Bowl, and the Colorado seeks to revive this whole dynamic of its economy. With a map showing pockets of lush green across an apparently verdant state, this map is meant to sway your expectations. And if the map doesn't do it, the text on the verso addresses how "Farm Ownership Is High", how stock production is up, and how predictions look to an "Agricultural Future Unlimited"
It's easy to imagine that the apocalyptic years of the 1930's would have scattered everyone to find a job in the city, but indeed, the 1950's and 60's saw a return to agricultural growth. Hard to say if this map would have spearheaded to cause, but it gave the industry a new dynamic appearance. Uncommon
