A desirable early map for the territory done on a large format. It was a time for the territory when most settlement was along the front range and central mountains where and amorphous region is labelled "Gold, Silver, Copper And Lead Mineral Belt". Shows the quickly developing railroad lines reaching as far as "Arkansas Valley" in Park county, and Canon City in Fremont county. Notes numerous potential railroad lines. Shows some of the key major roads, including the "New Road to San Juan Mines" heading down to Silverton. Hand colored by county.
