While Clason was a regional powerhouse of a publisher that was documenting the growth and settlement of the West, this was a rare occasion where they jumped on the pictorial bandwagon. Known for his great promotional maps of new towns and parts of the West, here we get a much more relaxed overview of what life was like prior to the interstate highways, and early in the era of the auto. Surrounded with vignettes for work and play around the state we get a colorful view with plenty of humor. Condition is very good. Issued on a thick "old style" paper that has a rolling bumpy character, reminding us of the terrain. Image size is approximately 20.25 x 28.25 (inches).
