(CO.) Colorado Year Book, Colorado Immigration Board - Clason, 1919 Intended to answer just about any practical question about settlement in the state for those that were curious, this is a state-issued hard cover book with folding map in back pocket. The folding map is a solid base done by Denver publisher, Clason, and shows detail for towns, counties, major drainages, local roads, named highways, and importantly the regional rain distribution. Color coded to show the anticipated precipitation as it occurs across the state, it doesn't show the historic variation that could happen, so one might think that parts of southeast Colorado would hold agricultural promise... but in the decades that would follow, it would be part of the epicenter of the Dust bowl. Condition is very good. Text size is approximately 9.25 x 6.25, map is approximately 18 x 23.5 (inches)
