(CO. Historical) Souvenir Map presented at the Rocky Mountain News - Western Federal Savings Ghost Town And Mining Camp Show, Rocky Mountain News, 1961 "Colorado is the scene of over seven hundred ghost town sites. The towns shown on this map have been selected for their colorful history and accessibility to Denver." While we see the major towns from Denver to Granby, from Colorado Springs to Carbondale, it's all that red ink that shows towns and roads now gone. Many of the smaller roads spin off of the state roads of the time and are simply noted as "CAR" which identified those unmarked roads which were passable by an average car of the time. Notes dozens of towns, and includes a few photos and historic images on the top and side. Uncommon. Condition is very good. Image size is approximately 18.25 x 22 (inches).
