But this map by Gray actually spotlights Colorado in the midst of portions of its neighboring states and territories. It's a rare composition, and an uncommon map with hand color distinguishing the counties and neighboring boundaries. While vast counties divide the western slope and plains, familiar configurations for front range and mountain counties exist already. Notes towns, railroads, drainages and major terrain.
