(CO.) Map of Colorado, Hardesty, 1883 A map for the young state that includes some unique notations. With a clear base map for the major terrain, rivers, roads, railroads and towns, serious inspection shows some interesting points. On the eastern plains we see along the Platte both the "Tennessee Colony", as well as "Ft Morgan", and "Old Fort Morgan. In the far southwestern corner the town of Telluride is still shown as "Folsom P.O. of Columbia". In the northwest it includes the Ute battle at Yellowjacket Pass. An underappreciated reference. Condition is good with some overall toning to the sheet, marginal staining. Image size is approximately 13.5 x 19.25 (inches)
