Page's Map of Colorado 1881, Page, 1881
Just five years into statehood, and here is Colorado beautifully depicted. The core of activity is centered on the front range, with several railroad lines tracing the rivers up to the foothills, and some line reaching in as far as Gunnison and Breckinridge. Notes the major peaks, works at showing the complex drainages, and includes a numer of roads. Shows the Ute Indian reservation as well as a small notation for the Beaubien and Sangre De Christo land grants in the south.
Condition is exceptionally good, with bold original hand color for the counties, and a very light and crisp sheet overall. Image size is approximately 16.5 x 25 (inches)
