(CO. - RMNP) Rocky Mountain National Park, Computer Terrain Mapping, 1988
For centuries birds eye view maps were made to give the viewer a dimensional sense of the landscape, holding all the complexity of the terrain in one simple image. Drawing on that history, and utilizing the latest technology, Ed Russel and Jim Robb, the founders of Computer Terrain Mapping, painstakingly assembled the geographic data for RMNP and began to imagine how to view the drama of the region with the latest digital precision.
This is their original innovative view, printed on a thick, acid-free paper, in full color. With north oriented to the right, you get an entire view of the park as if floating above the eastern plains. Color coding gives the range elevation with a red line encircling the boundary of the park. Condition is crisp and excellent. Overall size is approximately 22 x 37.5 (inches)
