Thayer's Map Of Colorado...
Just a little over a decade into the life of the territory, and here a local mapmaker lays out the situation of its development. With subtle original hand color we see the vast counties that were sparsely populated on the eastern plains and western slope, and along the front range we see the continued growth of the survey as it documents eastward and into the nearby central mountains. Notes several rail lines, but none going further west than Gilpin Co. or Canon City.
Tastefully framed with archival materials to an overall dimension of 22 x 26 (inches). Image size is approximately 14.25 x 18.25. Condition is very good.
