A prime example of the stunning folding pocket maps that Colton produced at the time. Published during the Civil War, it is from the year when the rebels were expelled by General Blunt, who was based from Fort Smith, and pushed out the southern forces from Arkansas and the western frontier (today's Oklahoma). Hand colored by county this map shows all the information needed for towns and terrain as well roads and railrods.
Condition is very good, both for the cover and map. Image size is 25.25 x 30.5 (inches).
