  • A computer GLOSSARY or, coming to terms with the data processing machine., Charles and Ray Eames - I.B.M., 1968

It's said that when you are at the outset of a new frontier, you have the clearest, long vision. You're not entangled in detail, or wrestling with improving an iteration... you can just see a bright, easy future where solutions can be applied everywhere.

The master designers Charles & Ray Eames had such a long view of the importance of the future of computing, even back in 1968, and they knew if they could acquaint the public with some basic words and some concepts, it could change perceptions and acceptance. Their collection of terms now almost looks prophetic as it addresses ideas from "Boolean Logic", "Data Processing", "Algorithm" to topics that are still current such as "Simulation" and "Pattern Recognition"

The Eames were known for product design, architecture, art and film. This is a prime example of their style, with an engaging and un-intimidating visual introduction to the nascent computer age.

Condition is very good, has been professionally backed with canvas. Overall size is approximately 19 x 27 (inches)
