    An icon for the beginning of the space age. With images of Glenn, Shepard and Grissom, as well as the instrument panel and rocket that carried him aloft into an orbital speed that was "7 times the speed of a rifle bullet". This large map uses the "Cosmopolitan World" map by Rand McNally as it's base and has additional printing showing the path of Glenn's capsule and all the points along the globe where he had support stations or landing points, along with the final landing point in the eastern Caribbean.

    Condition is very good with bold printed color. Image size is 31 x 49(inches).
