A crisp and dark engraving for this portion of Central America, with reasonable detail for the major rivers, mountains and towns. Interesting to see in Costa Rica that San Jose is "Carthage", with the other big town being "Nicoya" in the northwest. In Nicaragua, there is no sign of Managua, but "Massaya", "Leon" and "Grenada" are noted. Does include some notations for neighboring Panama and Honduras.
