This is the straw that finally broke Saul Steinberg's back, metaphorically. Taking not only the premise of Steinberg's image, but even reproducing some of Steinberg imaginary buildings which he conjured. This was beyond parody. And the court that decided the case agreed with Steinberg that Columbia Pictures had crossed the line of parody and taken his work, made a few changes, and added some images. The court awarded Steinberg a little over $225,000 dollars. For a film that had a budget of 13 million, and grossed a bit over 25 million, this was a significant cost for Columbia Pictures. Condition is very good, original folds as issued, pinholes in corners. Overall image is approximately 41 x 27 (inches). $65.00
