An excellent example of the meticulous and fine engravings that German cartographers were making in the late 19th century. This map of North Africa treats the interiors and details of North Africa with unparalleled attention, but doesn't disregard the other shore of the Mediterranean either. Notes towns, river, topography and hundreds of place names. Two insets touch on the islands of Malta and Gibraltar. A mix of both printed and hand color.
Condition is very good with some light age browning to the paper. Image size is 13 x 16 (inches).
