An excellent example of the meticulous and fine engravings that German cartographers were making in the late 19th century. This map of North Africa and the Middle East shows the heart of the Turkish Empire as it reaches throughout the Middle East and down to north east Africa. A large inset covers the Nile delta and its cities and villages, as well as the canal systems.A mix of both printed and hand color.
Condition is very good with some light age browning to the paper. Image size is 13.5 x 16 (inches).
