(East Coast) Map of the Eastern States
Surrounded by a decorative border of vignettes for early US history, this large pictorial map is a handsome study of the region and its history, both ancient and modern. Vignettes of Desoto trekking through Alabama sit right next to hooded figures labelled “Ku Klux”. In Tennessee an image of John Sevier, “Ye Great Pioneer”, sits next to a “Raid on Ye Moonshiners”. Printed in Red and Blue, it's a patriotic piece. Condition good with some repaired tears, though mostly marginal.
