Egypt Abyssinia and the Countries of East Equatorial Africa
Probably one of the best British publishers, Johnston produced maps that were current to the changing world of the time, and sometimes from a very English perspective. Published in the late 19th century, this lithographed map has printed color, and nice detail. Here, eastern Africa, its basic towns and terrain and the upper Nile. Ethiopia is here noted as "Habesh or Abyssinia".
