J.P. Pinchon was an influential French artist and illustrator who also produced a number of pictorial maps for both his homeland as well as the world. This is one of his maps that illustrates the geography as well as the history and character of the region. Here, the early United States, with vignettes that look at the earliest settlers and explorers of the East Coast. Amazing and decorative.
