Jacques Liozu's maps are a post war breath of fresh air, and are pervaded with a simplicity and decorative lightness that is interesting but also attractive. This map shows Eastern Europe from Greece and the Balkans, up to Poland and east through Russia and the Caucuses. Full of vignettes for local culture, and surrounded with a decorative border that includes the flags of many nations. Colorful and rare.
