Of all the artists that were inspired by Steinberg's work and tried to riff on his theme of regionalism, Staber might be the best. He valued the premise of Steinberg's realistic view decaying into distortion, but also that it was all about perspective and priorities. Staber even signed his names in these works as "J.Staber - After Steinberg". Staber wasn't trying to slide by with theft, he was trying to work after the master, and gave him attribution. Condition is good with some light foxing at top. Overall size is approximately 22 x 15.5 (inches)
