Monument to Freedom WEST GERMANY
A prime instance of a Cold War era image, looking at the situation of the two Germanys, where West Germany had a stronger growing industry and population, and where the only connection to Berlin were air routes. A large image in the lower left shows a family dashing to make their escape, while the busts of important politicians loom above.
New maps began as a poster service supplied by the war department during WWII, that was meant to update people on the situation of the war abroad as well as efforts at home.
Condition is good with some minor cornerfold loss and wear, and some old tape stain in the upper corners. Image size is 36 x 46 (inches)
