Greichenland (Greece, Greek Islands, Crete)
An excellent example of the meticulous and fine engravings that German cartographers were making in the late 19th century. Amazing for the Greek islands and Crete. An incredible gem for showing detail in the mountains, and full notations for towns, terrain, rivers, regional boundaries, all are shown with precision. Insets show the environs of Athens, Santorini, and Syra. A mix of both printed and hand color.
Condition is very good with some light age browning to the paper. Image size is 13.5 x 16 (inches).
