(HI.) The Dole Map of the Hawaiian Islands, Teher, c. 1950
A beautiful map for the islands from a series of maps that Dole published beginning in the 1930's. This map from 1950 is in a more painterly pictorial style leaving behind the cartoonish vignettes of earlier edition for a watercolor-esque approach that contains a wealth of interest. Each island is shown with vignettes particular to its local culture and is noted.
Condition is good, some marginal repairs, pinholes, misfolds and light soiling, but not effecting the image. Image size is approximately 19 x 28 (inches).
