A beautiful engraving giving a historical view of the Holyland, from Antioch and Damascus in the north, through the land divided by the twelve tribes, the Galilee and Dead Sea, around to Egypt. Rich with ancient towns, and the roads that connected them, as well as the general topography and hydrography. A large decorative title cartouche includes biblical scenes.
Condition is very good, with some of the right edge remargined, but not effecting the image. Image size is 8.75 x 16.75 (inches).
