(Illinois – Chicago area) North Shore Ancient and Modern Landmarks of Old Grosse Pointe And the North Shore Towns
A very rare locally published pictorial map for just the northern suburbs of Chicago spanning from Evanston to Lake Bluff. A decorative border on both sides shows scenes historic and contemporary for the towns. In the lake are many ships, historic notes and a fine compass rose (Did you know the Spanish sailed three ships over for the 1893 World's Fair?). Our first encounter with this map, in good condition with a few small tears repaired.
