Illinois & Missouri

  • Illinois & Missouri.

A classic early map of these young neighboring states, showing the county configurations, and the major towns throughout. Includes the major hydrography as well as terrain, and includes the early railroad connecting Chicago to the "Shipping Port" along the Illinois River. In both states large counties are laid out, but without major settlement. In Missouri few towns exist too far beyond the banks of the Missouri River. Below the state of Missouri is "Arkansaw Territory" and above it the "Missouri Territory".

Condition is good, with some light discoloration and marginal dampstaining. Image size is 10 x 8 (inches).
