He was the founder of the DeAgostini Geographical Institute and prolific Italian map and atlas publisher of the 20th century. He's now famous for the decorative pictorial maps done in conjunction with V. Nicouline, and this atlas has a complete set of the small decorative maps for the Italy regions. Each of the maps are small pictorial gems, full of vignettes, done with a refined sense of style and highlighted with metallic inks. This rare first edition comes signed by DeAgostini.
Condition is very good with some minor soiling. pp. 103
