A masterpiece of a map extrapolating on Saul Steinberg's famous model. While done in the soft colored pencil style, it's almost too articulate in its depiction of architecture, depicting the heart of the city crisply. But once beyond the core of the capital of Tuscany, it stretches into the nearby sea, capturing Sicily and part of Sardinia, as well as the tip of the boot, Calabria. Only Africa hangs on the horizon. Exceptional. Condition is very good one small marginal tear repaired at bottom. Overall size is approximately 35 x 24.75
