With bold original hand coloring, this map for the city shows all the streets, parks and railroad lines, and since it is prior to any of the bridges it includes dozens of the ferry lines connecting to New Jersey and Long Island. Looking at Central Park there is both a large "Old Reservoir" and "New Reservoir", as change continues.
Johnson was one of the better American mapmakers, and were based in New York City. A fine map, surrounded with a decorative border.
