Map Of The War
It's been the "forgotten war" or the "unknown war" for the lack of attention it received both at the time, and there after. It was a defining conflict for the direction of southeast Asia in the decades to come, and still remains a point of tension that flares up. This map by the US War Dept publication of the Pacific Stars and Stripes looks at the regions recent history with a timeline for events from 1950 to late 1952, with a large map of the peninsula, as well as one for area near Seoul. Surrounded with flags and emblems of the supporting nations and groups aligned with the US.
