Issued just two years after Steinberg's famous projection of NYC, this is a faithful interpretation of the Big Easy on Steinberg's model. The nearby downtown shows an assortment of buildings, along with the recently completed Superdome, as the background past Lake Pontchartrain fades into the flat plains of the rest of the U.S., up through Canada to the North Pole. A handful of cities and features are shown. The colored pencil work so emulates that of Steinberg that it almost feels interchangeable. It even includes a broken-down car with the hood up like the original. Condition is very good. Overall size is approximately 40 x 28.25 (inches)
